Spectrum 128 +2 Motherboard - Issue 1
Re-capped (with new blue axial electrolytic capacitors) and modded as follows:
- Installed beeper/AY balance mod resistors (to better balance the mixing of the various sound sources)
- Installed TEA2000 RF/Composite video mod (inductor+cap) to reduce the cyan/yellow cast on RF/Composite output
- Performed sound mod (RF sound injection point re-directed to TR1)
Full working order, tests included:
- Keyboard and joystick inputs
- Tape load input
- RGB, Composite and RF outputs (note: RF was never amazing on these machines but is as good as it really gets here - Composite or RGB output is definitely recommended).
- Diagnostics via external cartridge etc (including RAM, CPU /M1 line, AY sound etc)
Note: Only the mainboard is supplied (no voltage regulator, heatsink or tape parts)
